SMS Consent Policy

This SMS Consent Policy describes how Abately uses text messaging to communicate with users who have opted in to receive SMS messages. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS communications, you agree to the terms of this policy.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use Abately’s services without opting in to SMS, and you can revoke your SMS consent at any time.
1. Opt-in
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Abately by:
- Submitting your mobile phone number through a clearly labeled SMS consent field on our website.
- Replying with the keyword SUBSCRIBE (or another keyword we identify) to a message we send you.
- Providing express written consent through another channel that records the opt-in.
By opting in, you confirm that the mobile number you provided belongs to you and that you are authorized to consent to receive SMS messages on it.
2. Types of messages you may receive
- Account and transactional messages — confirmations, status updates on your property analysis, security alerts, and similar messages directly tied to your use of the Services.
- Service notifications — reminders about deadlines (such as protest filing windows in your county) and material changes to the Services.
- Marketing messages — early-access invitations, product launches, and offers, only if you have given separate consent for marketing SMS.
Message frequency varies. Most users receive fewer than ten messages per month.
3. Costs
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Abately does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier may. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
4. Opting out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from Abately. After we process your opt-out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages — unless you opt in again.
To opt back in, reply START to a previous Abately message or re-submit your number through our website.
5. Help
For help, reply HELP to any Abately SMS message, or contact us at support@abately.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
6. Carrier and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Abately is not responsible for delays or failures in delivery caused by your carrier, your device, or other factors outside our control.
7. Privacy
Your phone number and the contents of SMS communications are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell phone numbers to third parties or share them for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued participation in our SMS program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
